Absolutely delicious. We will be visiting his restaurant in Sierra Vista to take some of his amazing sauce back home to Idaho.

  • We all commented to one another that the plastic cutlery … More and thin napkins and decor seemed cheap. Ok for a food truck but not for a dining room. We also were unaware of the specials since we came in and were led away from the special board, and it wasn't mentioned by the waitress so we were unaware of half of the menu. We met Gunny who seemed very sincere and eager to make this venture work. That's why I'm giving this criticism.

Then we were told that we should pick from the menu as a token of thanks. What a great place to have a meal. We had ribs and salad. Really great food. The area between Hereford and SV now has three amazing newschool restaurants. The owner has local food trucks and shops that utilize the same space. Honestly … More the meat’s perfect as it is even without the sauce — great flavors, perfect texture — but that smoked applewood barbecue reaaally compliments it. All around fantastic experience. If you’re stuck on what to get, I recommend the pulled pork / brisket sandwich. It’s a classic you can’t go wrong with!

Ordered a brat, brisket, pulled pork and pulled chicken for my family...everything was outstanding. Gunny's sauces are a perfect complement to his meats and if I could have bought a case of his Smoky Applewood sauce I could have gone home happy. Gunny is a terrific person who knows his stuff. You can't go wrong.

From the moment the meat hit the grill, the delicious smells drew onlookers and patrons to the area as they sampled the varieties of meats and an array of amazing sauces. I was a early adopter on this five-star stand and it is of my BEST BBQ experiences! The sampler allowed me to mix and match the brisket, pulled pork and chicken with varrying hot sauces, and later, when no one was looking, I doubled back for sweet Italian Sausage.
